Set the water heater thermostat at 120 degrees.
Insulate the first 12 inches of inlet/outlet pipes.
Install a timer on electric water heater.
Drain one gallon of water every six months.
Check and repair water leaks.
Insulate the unit with a water heater blanket (read manual first).

Residential Service - Available to all residential consumers and churches who require less than 50 kVA transformer capacity or to commercial consumers who requires less than 10 kVA transformer capacity within the Utility's service area and who maintain residence in the same premise for nine (9) months or more per year.
